Three Palestinian factions receive official Egyptian invitations for internal dialogueThree Palestinian factions stated on Saturday that they received official invitations from Cairo to start Egyptian-mediated Palestinian talks in order to end the internal divisions and conflict among Fateh and Hamas party.
The Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), said that they will be heading to Cairo in the coming days. Sources at the Islamic Jihad said that delegates of the movement, headed by its secretary-general Ramadan Shallah, will be heading to Cairo on Monday. The DFLP said that it received an invitation to head to Cairo on Wednesday August 27. Meanwhile the PFLP said that it also received an invitation to head to Cairo on Wednesday August 27 but the appointment was delayed until Sunday August 31. Hamas movement said that it did not receive any invitation to participate in these talks. The statements of Hamas were made by one of its leaders, identified Ayman Taha. |
