![]() A group of Israeli settlers set fire to a large number of olive trees owned by the villagers of Deir Nitham near Ramallah. Witnesses reported that most of the burnt olive trees are owned by Ahmad Mizher, and that these trees have been growing since the Roman era. Wittiness added that the settlers came from the illegal settlement of Halamish, constructed on lands that belong to villagers from Nabi Saleh and Deir Nitham, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah. The villagers stated that this is not the first time Israeli settlers have attacked and destroyed their orhcards since the beginning of the Intifada and that large areas of land have been destroyed. |
