Six Palestinians killed by Israeli shells in Gaza on TuesdayPalestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that six Palestinians were killed by Israeli shells in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. The statement came after one resident died of his wounds at a local hospital in Gaza; several injuries were reported. The Israeli air force fired missiles at two vehicles in the southern and central parts of the Gaza Strip killing five residents and wounding several others. Four of the killed were resistance fighters and one was a civilian. Later on the sixth resident died of his wounds, medical sources reported. Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli air force fired a missile at a vehicle driving on Al Qarara Junction, north of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The missile directly hit the vehicle which was carrying four members of the Army of Islam Group. They were all killed and their bodies were severely mutilated. A bystander was also killed in the blast as he was walking closely to the shelled vehicle. The slain fighters were identified as Motaz Daghmash, Mahmoud Al Shandy, Izz Al Azayzy, and Mahmoud Asaliyya; all are from Gaza city. The bystander was identified as Mousa Al Ainy from Khan Younis. Additionally, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a vehicle in Deir AL Balah, in the central Gaza Strip. The vehicle carried two members of the Army of Islam. The two survived the initial blast and managed to step out of the vehicle but the army fired another missile and killed a bystander identified as Salah Qaddouha; four residents were wounded. The latest Israeli escalation might overshadow the current talks about the possibility of achieving truce which is intended to take place on Thursday morning.
