Monqith Abu Roomy, head of the media office of Asrana (Our Detainees) center, which defends the rights of Palestinian detainees imprisoned by Israel, voiced an appeal to the US President, George W. Bush, to intervene for the release of all child and female Palestinian detainees imprisoned by Israel.

Abu Roomy stated that Bush should intervene as this is a sensitive and important issue as hundreds of children and women are still imprisoned by Israel.

He also welcomed the American efforts and the efforts of president Mahmoud Abbas to achieve a just peace between all nations.

Abu Roomy indicated that the Asrana office is hoping the president Bush will act for the release of the child and female detainees without any preconditions before he leaves the region.
