The Israeli army attacks on the Gaza Strip leaves 4 killed and 15 injured

Palestinian medical sources said that four Palestinians were killed and 15 others injured during a number of Israeli army attacks targeting deferent parts of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.


Three civilians were killed and at least 10 injured when an Israeli tanks shelled residential areas during an invasion targeting the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Among those three killed were Ibraheem Salaha, 19, who was hit with a tanks shell and Khader Salamah, 17, who was playing on his bicycle when Israeli soldiers shot him, witnesses stated.

Palestinian security sources said that several Israeli tanks and armored vehicles swept earlier in the day into the vicinity of the eastern cemetery of Jabalaya, just close to the Israel-Gaza border lines.

Earlier on Wednesday morning one fighters of the Al Qassam brigades of Hamas was killed and three others injured during an Israeli air raid targeting a group of Palestinian fighter who were clashing with the invading troops in Khan Younis town in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The Al Qassam Brigades identified the fighter as Bassam Ashour, 19.

Witnesses said that Palestinian resistance fighters attempted to strike back against the invading Israeli troops, as armed clashes broke out.

The latest Israeli military escalation on the ground comes one day after Israel turned down a Hamas ceasefire offer, mediated by Egypt, demanding Hamas to free the captured Israeli soldier and stop arms smuggling from Egypt into Gaza.
