The sources added that starting on Saturday, Palestinian policemen will be moved from Hebron, Jericho and Ramallah areas and will be deployed in Jenin next Monday.

The sources added said the goal of this deployment is to boost the activities of the Palestinian security forces in the city and its surrounding villages, in addition to fighting crime and what Israel described as “ fighting Terrorist Cells” referring to the resistance groups.

This week, Palestinian Prime Minister, Dr. Salaam Fayyad, visited Jenin and held talks with security officials over the readiness of their security forces.

A similar campaign was carried out several months ago in Nablus district, in the northern part of the West Bank.
