Palestinian medical sources in Qalqilia, in the northern part of the West Bank, reported on Saturday evening that a Palestinian youth was shot and seriously injured by Israeli military gunfire as the army invaded Azzoun town, east of the city, and clashed with dozens of residents.The injured youth was identified as Zakariyya Abdul-Hadi Sweidan, 18. He was shot in his abdomen and was moved to a local hospital were he was operated and is currently in a serious condition.
Troops imposed curfew over Azzoun, and started breaking into homes and searching them in an attempt to “arrest resistance fighters”.
