Gaza: Elderly woman dies of wounds sustained in Israeli air attacks last week

Palestinian medical sources in Gaza reported that the an elderly Palestinian woman died on Tuesday after succumbing to wounds she sustained last week during an Israeli air raid targeting her family home.

Aliah Al Simieri, 70, from Khan Younis town in the southern part of the Gaza Strip sustained multiple wounds when Israeli jet fighters fired several missiles at her son Yousif outside their family home.

Yousif, a leader in the al-Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, was coming to visit his sick mother at her home when an Israeli jet fighter attacked him.

A three-week old baby, his neice, was also killed in the attack.

In a similar story, on Monday evening, a Palestinian man, Ala Atallah, 26, died of wounds he sustained last week when Israeli jet fighters shelled his family home in Gaza city.

Six members of Attallah family were killed in the attack. Atallah was sent to Egypt for treatment several days ago, but was announced dead on Monday evening.
