 The Israeli Army radio reported that a Palestinian underage detainee imprisoned in Ophic Israeli prison complained that he was raped by an Israeli prisoner, held for criminal charges and placed with the child in the same cell. The detainee is 16 year-old and was under interrogation and placed in solitary confinement. The Radio reported that the Israeli police initiated a probe into the issue and transferred the Palestinian detainee to another room away from the rapist. Israel is illegally holding 350 underage Palestinian prisoners, including one female detainee identified as Ayat Dababsa, 16. A total of 90 female detainees are currently imprisoned by Israel, the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported. Nearly 11500 Palestinians are detained by Israel among them 900 who need medical attention including 500 who need surgeries and urgent treatment, the Society added. |
