Palestinian resistance fires 25 home made shells at southern Israeli

Palestinian resistance groups fired 25 home-made shells at the southern Israel towns of Sederot and Ashkelon neighboring the Gaza Strip, causing damage but no injures on Wednesday.

The Al Quds brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the firing; the group said in a statement sent to the press that today's attack is a response to the killing of Walid Obeidi, 41, a leader of the Al Quds brigades in the West Bank.

Obeidi was killed by under cover Israeli forces in the northern West Bank city of Jenin on Wednesday at dawn.

On Tuesday evening, Palestinian resistance groups fired a dozen Qassam home made shells at the Israeli town of Sderot lightly injuring five Israelis, among them two children. Earlier on Tuesday morning the Israeli army invaded the eastern part of the Gaza strip, the operation lasted for several hours came to an end by Tuesday midday leaving 17 Palestinian killed and 47 injured.
