Al Hurami traveled in 2002 to the Gaza Strip with her Grandmother to visit her Grandfather, who was deported there by Israeli authorities in 2002.

Her Grandmother died shortly arriving to Gaza leaving her alone with only her Grandfather for the last six years up until now.

Yassen, the Grandfather of Al Hurami, was deported in 2002 from Bethlehem to the Gaza Strip along with 26 Palestinians who were trapped in the Nativity Church in that year during an Israeli military major offensive in Bethlehem in the same year.

Her Grandmother took her to Gaza because her father was being held by the Israeli army and was the only one who could take care of the child during that time.

Samher Al Hurami arrived to Bethlehem on Wednesday midday with the Palestinian Chief Negotiator Dr Sa'eb Irikat, who secured her travel from Gaza to meet her family in the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem.

The father of Samher was released several weeks ago when Israel released 430 Palestinian prisoners shortly after the USA Annapolis Conference.
