 The league of the Arab States has decided to release a joint stamp of the Arab nations as an indication of support for the Palestinians Mahmoud Diwan, General Director of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology for the League of Arab States, stated to the media that the ministry will provide a design of the stamp that will be released in all the Arab countries, to the Arab League. The stamp will begin circulation in the international postal market on the commemoration of Land Day on March 30. The revenue of the stamp will be donated to support the Palestinian people. Diwan stated that several issues had been negotiated by the Standing Committee of Arab Postage, and the issue of Palestine was a special item on the agenda of the committee. In the last meeting of the Committee, Diwan proposed the endorsement of the Palestinian position in the International Mail League. The committee adopted a recommendation to support the full membership of Palestine in the League , as membership in the Mail League constitutes one of the foundations of the sovereignty of the Palestinian state. |
