Dr. Saeb Erekat, Honorary President of the Palestinian motor sport league also played an important role in the organization of the event.

The Palestinian delegation will include three members of the leagues governing body and the drivers' themselves.T he event is to be documented by Al Jazeera and Al Arabia.

Erekat expressed the enormity of the achievement and added that "despite the very difficult situation, our racing team participated in the Sharm Al Sheikh international championship and obtained both first and second positions."
