The man was identified as Bahgat Abu Dukah, 26.

A second man, the victims' cousin, was wounded in the incident, according to local sources.  The Israeli army claimed it was looking into the incident.

In a separate incident on Thursday, the Israeli army killed another Palestinian near the border.

The army claimed to have opened fire at two men who were suspected of placing an explosive device near the fence.  However, Local Medical sources reported the man was unarmed and witnesses say the man was trying to catch birds at the time of the incident
