Her lawyer, Shreen Nasser, told how her client Amneh Mona was kept in solitary confinement for over six months.

The lawyer added that Mona had announced she was going on an eleven day hunger strike in protest against the treatment she received at the hands of prison gaurds.

Nasser explained that during the strike her client was attacked and forced to undergo an involuntary medical examination adding that Mona had been seriously injured when Israeli doctors injected her in the arm against her will, causing severe bleeding.

She was moved to a nearby military hospital as a result of the injuries sustained.

In a statement issued through her lawyer, Mona called on the Red Cross and Israeli and Palestinian Human Rights groups to intervene and end her suffering

Nasser also met other Palestinian women who were being held at the Harason detention center. The prisoners complained to Nasser about the spread of skin disease as well as the lack of food and blankets.

The lawyer concluded that the female detainees were demanding that Palestinian Prisoners affairs minister Ashraf Al Ajrami come and visit them at the detention center.
