Medical sources reported that Israeli military jets fired two rockets at a crowd of civilians in the city center resulting in the deaths of Abed Al Rahaman Abu Eza, Sulieman Al Hawly, and Sameer Al Daqran.

Israeli military sources confirmed today that there had been three Palestinians killed in Gaza and said the purpose of the air strike was to target Hamas members.

The strikes come following Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Baraks' authorization of military action against Gaza. Twelve members of Hamas have been killed during Israeli attacks on Gaza in the past week

Israeli sources reported that the air strike was in response to the home-made shells fired by al Qassam into the western Negev region on Monday which resulted in damages but no injuries.

Earlier on Monday three Palestinian resistance fighters from Al Qassam, the armed wing of Hamas, were killed when clashes broke out between Palestinians and the Israeli army.
