Sources at Fatah faction in Gaza claimed Sunday that the police forces of the deposed Hamas-led government arrested four Fatah members and took them to unknown destinations.

The sources identified the detainees as Majdi aL-Shalatawi, Atta Affana, Kayed Affana and Tayseer Anemnem.

The detainees, who were sticking portraits of late Fatah leader Yasser Arafat on their houses' walls, were taken to unknown destinations, the sources said.

In mid November, the Hamas-led police department vowed to bring to justice what the police forces said 'involved in violence' during a rally, marking the third anniversary of the death of late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat of Fatah.

Fatah then accused Hamas forces of initiating gun fire at crowds, killing eight and wounding dozens others. The Hamas-dominated interior ministry confirmed it obtained footages of gunmen firing at the rally from a nearby rooftop.

Hamas took over the costal region in mid June, amidst fierce gun battles with Fatah-loyal security forces, closing a chapter of several months of a power struggle with Fatah party. President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah outlawed Hamas and established a caretaker government in Ramallah.
