Eyewitnesses reported that following an ambush, troops stopped Fadi's car, kidnapped him and moved him to an undisclosed detention center. A Lawyer from the university reported that Hamad was transferred to Ofer detention center in the west of Ramallah city. This operation is considered to be linked to a series of abduction campaigns executed by the Israeli military against Birzeit students and Islamic bloc activists, as earlier on Saturday the military kidnapped a student at Attara checkpoint who was trying to reach the university.
