The sources stated that the five, including one child, suffered moderate to critical wounds.

Eyewitnesses reported that the army first shelled the area last night, and the source of the shelling came from a military camp that the army recently installed near Beit Hannon.

Also on Sunday, local sources in the coastal region stated that the Israeli army continued to gather more enforcements at the Eretz crossing located at the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel which could be an indication of a larger offensive in the area.
