Jailed legislator calls for more attention towards jailed Palestinian legislators

Dr. 'Omar Abd er-Raziq, jailed legislator and former Minister of Finance in the Palestinian government called upon the International and human rights organizations to intervene to release the jailed Palestinian lawmakers in the Israeli detention centers.

MP Abd er-Razeq, who is currently detained in one of the Israeli jails, released his call last Thursday during an Israeli military Court session at Salem's military base, near Nablus saying "It is a shame that specialized justices are absent in such a session," adding that this court is a "crime against humanity, because those on trial are legitimate elected members of Parliament."

Abd er-Raziq added that "kidnapping Palestinian legislators is a political affair" based on the power game that Israel is playing. He added that Israel attempts to banish the Palestinian political and national rights.

Abd er-Raziq ended his statement calling the Palestinian NGO's and activists to raise the voice of the Palestinian people and carry the message to the world showing the facts in Palestine.
