In addition, the 441 prisoners that are supposed to be released include no female prisoners, prisoners from Jerusalem, Arab-Israelis (Palestinians with Israeli citizenship), or long-term prisoners. Among the 441 prisoners on the list, there is only one prisoner who was kidnapped a year before 2000. The analysis shows that the rest of the intended released are prisoners who were kidnapped over the last several years of the Al Aqsa Intifada. Missing from the list are some of the long-term prisoners, some of whom have been in Israeli prison camps for decades. 243 of those on the list are scheduled to be released in 2008, according to the Ahrar analysis. The report also indicated that 62 of the remainder are supposed to be released in 2009, 36 in 2010, 19 in 2011, 24 in 2012, 18 in 2013, 15 in 2014, 10 in 2015 and 10 in 2016.
The center confirmed that the list includes no female prisoners. The number of the female prisoners inside the Israeli detention is about 143. The list also excluded Arab-Israelis, which make up 150 Palestinian prisoners.
The number of Jerusalemite prisoners inside Israeli detention is about 300, none of whom were named for release.
The preliminary informations indicated that the list included no Hamas of Islamic Jihad prisoners except for a few who joined Hamas and Islamic Jihad while in prison.
Palestinians currently held in Israeli detention number more than 10,000. Over the last month, Israeli forces have abducted 400 Palestinians, leading many Palestinian analysts to point out that the 441 being released in the 'goodwill gesture' number hardly more than the number taken into custody each month.
