Palestinian medical sources in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis announced that one Palestinian has been killed and another three were injured, one seriously, after Israeli forces opened fire randomly on civilian homes in Al-Khaza'a town, east of Khan Younis on Tuesday morning.

Sources named the Palestinian who was killed as Mohammad Al Najjar, 21, and the Palestinian who was critically injured as Nidal Al Najjar, 37. Nidal had to be taken to the hospital to receive medical treatment if he was to survive. The two other injured Palestinians sustained moderate wounds.

Eyewitnesses reported that massive, armed clashes broke out between Al Qassam resistance and an Israeli special force when the latter invaded the town of Al-Khaza'a overnight on Monday.

In related news, Israeli sources reported that the Israeli army foiled a Palestinian resistance attempt to break into an Israeli settlement, east of Gaza after being recognized. The army opened fire on them causing injuries. The latest news indicates that one of the Palestinians was killed, one injured and the third escaped. Israeli military launched a ransacking campaign around the settlement to find him.
