Eyewitnesses reported that several missiles were fired at one car as it drove along Fukhari road in eastern Khan Younis city, in the southern Gaza Strip.

No further details have been released.

Israel has recently stepped-up attacks on Palestinian resistance groups in various parts of the coastal region, in what Israel terms "a bid to stop the firing of homemade shells."

Israel in September declared Gaza a "hostile entity" and imposed a strict seige in the region.

According to Palestinian sources, more than 80 Palestinians, including passersbys, have been killed by Israeli attacks since its declaration.
