Fatah spokesman Ibrahim Abu al-Naja, who attended the ceremony, reported that members of the Executive force entered the camp, attacked several Fatah supporters, tore down posters of the late President, and detained several activists of the movement.

In a seperate incident in the al-Bureij refugee camp, two civilians were injured after approximately 10,000 Fatah supportes marched in commemoration of Arfat. The two civilians were injured in skirmishes with the Executive force. The Spokesman for the de facto Interior Ministry in Gaza, Hani al-Dani, denied the accusations.

A mass rally to commemorate Arafat's death is scheduled for Monday in Gaza city. The rally, in which all Palestinian factions are scheduled to participate, has been pre-approved by the Hamas-dominated Gaza government.
