Military bulldozers uproot lands west of Bethlehem

Israeli military bulldozers on Sunday afternoon uprooted large areas orchards belonging to residents of the nearby village of al-Ma’sar, loacated south of Bethlehem.

While dozens of residents rushed to the area in an attempt to prevent the destruction, they were prevemted from reaching the site by Israeli soldiers, who attacked the civilains with batons and rifle butts. In the ensuing clashes, one Paelstinian was injured.

Mahmoud Zawahra, head of the local committee against the Wall and Settlements, stated that such attacks are cbecoming more and more regular as the Israeli army bulldozes more and more land sorrounding the Efrat settlement.

Approximately ten Dunums of land were razed in the attack.
