Fatah spokesperson: Israel's actions prove it is not interested in peace process

Fatah spokesperson Fahmi Za’areer on Sunday stated that by banning the head of the Palestinian negotiating team from entering Jerusalem on Sunday, Israel has proved that it is not interested in the ongoing peace process.

Za’areer stated that Israeli soldiers barred Chief Palestinian Negotiator Ahmed Qureia, and his negotiating team,  from entering Israel as they made their way for talks with Israeli officials, holding the  Palestinian team for  more than twenty minutes.

The Fatah representative argued that the purpose of such a move was to discredit the Palestinian delegation on front of their own people, and to place obstacles on the road to a peaceful, negotiated solution.
