Palestinian sources on Friday reported that Israeli soldiers kidnapped a high-ranking student member of the Islamic Jihad movement.

Burhan Shriteh, 25, was kidnapped at the so-called 'container' checkpoint, located to the east of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Eyewitnesses told IMEMC that Israeli soldiers forced him out of his car, blindfolded and handcuffed him, and then took him to an unknown location.
Shriteh has been the leader of the Islamic Jihad Student Bloc in Birzeit University for two years.
Islamic Jihad sources said that he had been forced to pull out of his studies for one year after the Israeli army placed him on their so-called 'wanted' list.
