author Tuesday November 06, 2007 20:10author by Rami Almeghari - IMEMC Report this post to the editors

A spokesperson of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) denied on Tuesday Israeli media reports that PLO has recently signed a document with the Israeli side, between PLO’s secretary, Yasser Abed Rabo and head of Israeli Meretz Party, Yousi Bellen.

According to the Israeli Daily, Maareef, yesterday, a new document between Abed Rabo and Belen, has been prepared and that a draft has been presented to top Palestinian negotiator, Ahmad Qurai and U.S Secretary of States, Condoleezza Rice.

The PLO’s spokesperson branded, in a statement, received by Palestine News Network (PNN), that such news are ‘nonsense media’, some media outlets have used to reporting recently.

He refuted the reports totally, asserting that they are intended at distorting the Palestinian and Israeli public opinions understanding, in a time both Palestinians and Israelis are set to hold negotiations in the upcoming Washington-sponsored peace conference in Annapolis later this month.

Palestinians and Israelis are yet to agree on core negotiations issues, including the status of Jerusalem, the borders of Palestinian state and the Palestinian refugees’ problem, ahead of the Annapolis summit.

Few years ago, both Abed Rabo and Bellen signed a peace document in Geneva as a basis for Palestinian-Israeli peace.
