 Seema Anbas, head of the Detainees Study Center, reported on Monday that a number of female prisoners announced a hunger strike in support of detainee Amna Mona, who is currently being held in solitary confinement in the Israeli al-Ramla prison. In a letter addressed to the Center, the detainees stated that the protest is an effort to exert pressure on the Israeli authorities to cancel a recent order extending the solitary confinement of Mona, who is suffering from severe physical and psychological problems. |
