Anbas added that Al Zoq is seven months pregnant and is suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes, and is not being provided with sufficient and healthy food. Anbas also stated that Al Zoq id continuously losing weight, and that her body is getting weaker as she continues to be deprived from medical attention. Meanwhile, detainee Habeeb is suffering from weakness in her sight, is losing weight, and needs a surgery in her back. Anbas called on human rights groups to expose the illegal Israeli practices against the detainees, especially medical negligence. She also stated that physicians must be allowed into the Israeli prisons to conduct medical checkup for the detainees. Al Zoq and Habeeb were taken prisoner on May, 22, 2007 at the Eretz Crossing. They were heading to an Israeli hospital as a surgery was scheduled for Habeeb. Army claimed that they were attempting to carry an attack against soldiers at the crossing. The Israeli prosecution claims that both women are members of the Islamic Jihad movement.
