Sources close to Hamas movement reported that Palestinian security forces attacked a dinner party held by one of the residents to honor four detainees who were recently released from an Israeli detention center. The sources added that the security forces arrested fifteen residents, including the four residents who were recently released from Israeli prisons. The four were identified as Hisham Al Tarda, Shareef Khamaisa, Ibrahim Khamaisa and Tawfeeq Khamaisa. Hamas detainees imprisoned by Israel slammed the attack and considered it “an act which shames the security forces”, and demanded their release. In a statement released on Friday, the detainees demanded the Palestinian security forces in the West Bank, loyal to Fateh movement, to release all political prisoners without any preconditions and to stop all political arrests. In a related incident, media sources close to Hamas movement reported on Friday that Palestinian security forces arrested on Thursday seven students, members of the Islamic Bloc, at the Arab American University in Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank. |
