In a sworn testimony, detainee Hasan Faleh Bazour, from Al Mogheer village, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, stated that he was repeatedly beaten and tortured by the soldiers when he was arrested and when he was under interrogation.

He stated that he was hit with batons, rifles, and other tools on sensitive parts of his body.

Bazour added that eight soldiers took turns during his interrogation and torture for several hours, and that he was handcuffed all the time.

He added that soldiers placed him in an open area in the facility as rain was falling heavily and as he was bleeding from his head.

Bazour also said that soldiers forced his head into a toilet seat and then threw him in a cell after totally undressing him.

Furthermore, Bazour stated that soldiers repeatedly threatened to shoot him and threatened for arrest his family members and demolish their home.

Commenting on the cells, he stated that they are dark and without windows, adding that once he is in the cells he cannot differentiate between day and night time, and that the cell is always smelly. He was not allowed to shower for one month.

The PPS voiced an appeal to human rights and legal groups, especially the Red Cross to intervene and stop the illegal Israeli practices and violations against the detainees.

The PPS demanded that Faleh should be provided with the needed medical treatment and that the soldiers who abused him should be prosecuted.

In related news, detainee Hilal Jardat, from Al Yamoun village near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, is suffering from a gradually declining health condition.

Jaradat was kidnapped in 1987, and is suffering from a slipped disc and other heart issues especially after he suffered a mild heart attack eight months ago.

Also, female detainees imprisoned in Ha-Sharon detention facility, complained that they are subjected to illegal acts against them as soldiers repeatedly broke into their rooms and searched them. Soldiers also barred several detainees from their visitation rights and placed some of them in solitary confinement.
