The Israeli Authorities informed Abu Aisha that he cannot remain in the Palestinian territories because he, and his family, do not have Palestinian identity cards, passports or family unification documents. Abu Aisha stated that he came back to Palestine in 1967 and lived there since then, and in spite of applying to a family reunification, the Israeli Authorities never responded to his request, imprisoned him in Aztion detention camp, near Hebron, and are threatening to deport him to Jordan. He stated that on August 20 2007, the Israeli Authorities transferred him to the bridge between Jordan and the West Bank in an attempt to deport him, but the Jordanian Authorities refused to receive him and he was transferred to Ofer Israeli prison. Abu Aisha added that the Israeli security services informed him that he is being deported because he is “illegally living in the territories”. The Authorities told him that he is not being deported for security concerns. He appealed human rights groups to intervene and release him, especially since he is not charged or prosecuted by the Israeli Authorities. He said that all of his family and relatives are living in Palestine and does not have anybody in Jordan. Tranlsated by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC |
