Ereikat: Bush's comments reflect the true nature of the Palestinian position

Dr. Sa'eb Ereikat, the director of the negotiations department at the Palestinian liberation organization, stated on Tuesday that the statement made by the American president Bush reflects the true nature of the Palestinian position which looks for real political solution in the region.

Ereikat assured that the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas focuses in his meeting with the international leaders on enforcing the idea of the establishment of a Palestinian stated with Jerusalem as its capital.

The comments of the Palestinian chief negotiator come one day after the Palestinian president meeting with his American counter part Bush during the annual UN General Assembly conference in News York on Monday.

Bush also met the Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad who attended the meeting with Abbas. In Monday's meeting Bush told reporters that his administration is still committed for the two-state solution.
