Hamas media sources said that Engineer Mahdi Hadada was moved to the intensive care unit due to extreme torture he was subjected to during interrogation at the Preventive Security headquarters in Nablus.

Hadada is also suffering from preexisting conditions such as ulcer  and respiratory issues.

Five hours after hospitalization, Hadada was moved back to the Preventive Security headquarters, and when his health condition sharply deteriorated he was moved again to hospital and was placed in the intensive care unit.

Hadada was arrested at dawn September 13 after Preventive Security Force members broke into his house in Jabal Al Shimaly area in Nablus.

During morning hours Preventive Security members broke into his office in the center of Nablus and sabotaged it, Hamas sources reported.
