author Tuesday August 28, 2007 23:55author by IMEMC Staff Report this post to the editors

Hamas sources stated on Tuesday at night that Fateh gunmen fired at Rabee’ Rabee’, member of Ramallah Municipality Council as he was leaving the City Hall after a meeting held on Tuesday evening.

The source stated that Rabaee’ was previously repeatedly attacked by Fateh gunmen in an attempt to force him resign from his post. On June 14, gunmen abducted Rabee’ and took him to an unknown destination. On the same night, gunmen burnt his office. He also received several threats from anonymous callers. Hamas blames Fateh for these attacks.
