Two Israelis shocked, a third wounded as a Palestinian shell lands on Sderot

Three Israelis were wounded, including two by shock, Tuesday, as a Palestinian homemade-shell landed on the Israeli town of Sderot, just close to the northern part of Gaza Strip, Israeli media sources said.

According to the sources, the shell hit directly a house, causing the moderate injury of one resident and the panic to two others.

In Gaza, a statement by the Fatah-affiliated, aL-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, claimed responsibility for firing a shell on the Sderot town.

Eyewitnesses said that an explosion was audible Tuesday in the nearby Israeli town of Sderot, just to the north of the Gaza Strip

The brigades statement pointed out that the shell fire on Sderot is aimed at retaliating to the Israeli army crimes across the Gaza Strip as well as a response to Israeli defense ministers threats to launch a major offensive on the region.

Israeli army has stepped up recently attacks on Gaza, in what it considered the armys response to Palestinian homemade shells fire. The attacks claimed the lives of at least a dozen of Palestinians including children.
