Israeli soldiers attack head of the Islamic movement and chief of Islamic Justice, in Jerusalem

Israeli soldiers attacked on Wednesday evening Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic movement in Israel, and Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, Chief Islamic Justice and the Mufti of Jerusalem, as Sheikh Sabri was holding a charitable dinner on the rooftop of one of the Palestinian houses in Jerusalem.

The attack was slammed by several movements and institutions including the presidency of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) in the Gaza Strip.

The PLC issued a press release slamming the attack and stating that Sheikh Sabri and Sheikh Salah have significant importance to the Palestinians and carry a historic role in defending the holy city of Jerusalem from the ongoing Israeli assaults.

The PLC called on the Arab and Islamic Nations to hold their responsibilities and defend Jerusalem and the Al Aqsa mosque.

Also, the PLC called on the United Nations and human rights groups to intervene and stop the Israeli attacks in Jerusalem and in the occupied territories.

Moreover, the Wa’ed Society for Detainees and Ex-detainees, slammed the attack and stated that Israel is ongoing with its assaults against the figures of the Palestinian people, and the holy places.

The Society added that this assaults is considered an attack against every Palestinian.
