Israeli troops, positioned on the borders of Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza Strip, have opened heavy gunfire on Palestinian farmers while they were toiling on the ground on Thursday at midday.

Medical sources in the area stated that no injuries were reported.

In the wake of this attack, Israeli aircraft intensified their operations in the northern areas of the Strip.

Residents also witnessed unusual movements of Israeli military vehicles during this time in the eastern areas of Beit Hanoun.

It was noted that Israeli forces are carrying out almost daily attacks in Beit Hanoun, razing residents' agricultural lands.

On Tuesday, the Israeli army killed two children. Abed Al Qader Ashur, 13, and Fadi Al Kafarnah, 13, were playing with friends in a field near a school in Beit Hanoun, when they were targeted by a nearby Israeli tank.
