Palestinian medical sources stated that five civilians were injured in the attack. The victims were taken to the hospital with light to moderate wounds.

Witnesses reported that the attack hit the top floor of the three-story building, leaving a large hole in the roof, and a car that was driving outside the building was also damaged.

The Al Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, announced that the attack targeted members of the brigades who were driving their car near the damaged building. The Israeli airforce completely missed their apparent target, hitting civilians with the airstrike instead.

The Israeli army confirmed the attack but gave no further details.
