PLO demands the Wall case to be discussed at the Security Council

The National and International Department of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) issued a press release marking the third anniversary of an advisory ruling of the International Court of Justice in the Hague, in which the court stated that the Israeli annexation Wall is illegal.

The PLO demanded that the file of the Annexation Wall should be discussed at the Security Council since Israel is constructing it on Palestinian occupied territories and is isolating the residents from each other and from their land.

The United Nations supported the advisory ruling of the international court on July 20 2004.
The PLO stated that Israel rejected the ruling and continued to construct the Wall which will extend on 700 kilometers, and annexed so far more than 300.00 Dunams, in addition to isolating dozens of Dunams of orchards behind the Wall.

The PLO added that dozens of thousands of Palestinians are now living in isolated enclaves, trapped by the Wall and locked in their own villages by the iron gates installed on the Wall which made them an able to reach their orchards or even leave their areas for treatment and other purposes.

Moreover, the PLO stated that Israel is trying to impose new realities on the ground in order to void the possibility of creating a viable Palestinian State with geographical contiguity.

The PLO Department added that the annexation Wall is a crime against humanity and a crime against the Palestinian people who are extending their hands for peace while Israel is building Wall and committing more crimes against the occupied people.

The Department the international community to intervene and issue decisions in the security council in order to oblige Israel to end its ongoing violations against the Palestinian people, and to compensate them for their losses.
