The Kerem Shalom crossing, recently reopened to allow humanitarian assistance to reach the Gaza Strip, has been closed again by Israel for two days.

Israel cited terror alerts as the reason for the closure, reporting that a large explosive device was discovered on Tuesday near Kerem Shalom.
The Sufa crossing is still open, though reports indicate that it may also be closed soon for similar reasons. The Karni crossing also remains closed amid fears that stores of basic survival supplies in the Gaza Strip will soon run out.
