The approximately 2000 detainees slammed this decision which violates the basic principle of human rights and the international laws and regulations. Freed detainees Rakan Nayif Salahat, who was only released two days ago after three years in the Negev detention, stated that the detainees decided to return all meals and will continue hold additional twp-day protest next week in addition to several other protest measures. The Palestinian Prisoners Society issued a statement on Thursday addressing the Red Cross and other international human rights group to practice pressure on the Israeli authorities in order to cancel their illegal decision and stop their illegal assaults against the detainees. The statement rejected the Israeli claims that this decision was made in order to “avoid any direct contact between Fateh and Hamas detainees”. The Society also stated that all detainees are united regardless of the unfortunate events in the Gaza Strip and that they reject that these conflicts be transfer to the detention facilities since all detainees are facing the same Israeli aggression.
