Translated by Saed Bannoura - IMEMCThe parents expressed their anger over these bloody and violent clashes between the Palestinian gunmen from Fateh and Hamas.

Resident Ni’ma Thiab Abu Khader,  a mother of two sons imprisoned by Israel, including one son who was sentenced to several life terms, said that as the Palestinians are facing continuous deadly invasions and attacks carried by the Israeli occupation, brothers are fighting and killing each other.

“We are fathers, mothers, brothers of sisters of detainees imprisoned by Israel and facing daily hardships”, she stated, “We came here to appeal an end to these internal clashes, our sons and daughters are spending their lives behind bars, and now the internal clashes is just making us busy fighting against each other”.

Akram Al Sba’, member of the Popular Committee for Releasing the Detainees, stated that the detainees are facing continuous attacks, are deprived from their fundamental rights, deprived of medical attention, but now their case becomes a secondary issue as brothers and fighting against each other.

As Sba’ added that the detainees are united and appealing all factions to unite and stop these violent clashes.

Freed female detainee Lina Hindawi, said that “it is very sad that we forgot the daily suffering of the detainees, the continuous violations they are subjected to, and started fighting and killing each other, while Israel did not stop attacking us, attacking the detainees”.

Hindawi added that the detainees hold everyone responsible for the continuation of these clashes, and that it is the responsibility of every person, every leader and faction to act now to stop these violent clashes.

The father of detainee Ashraf Hosney carried a leaflet stating “our sons are dying in Israeli prisons, and we are dying by our guns”.

He stated that “it seems that everybody forgot that there are 11.000 detainees imprisoned by Israel , everybody forgot the sacrifices and got involved in these violent and bloody internal clashes”.

The protestors appealed the leaders of Fateh and Hamas to act immediately in order to stop these clashes, and demanded every faction to be actively involved in stopping the clashes and encouraging internal talks in order to restores the Palestinian unity.
