On Sunday, Israeli troops invaded the town of Kafr ad-Dik, in the Salfit district in the northern West Bank.

The troops took up a position inside the home of Mazin Abu al-Wafa, and began occupying the home to turn it into a military post. Al-Wafa was killed by Israeli forces on a previous occasion.

According to eyewitnesses, the Israeli troops began carrying equipment and supplies into the home.

Israeli troops often occupy Palestinian homes, forcing the families out, in order to turn them into military observation towers and sniper posts. Homes that are on high ground are particularly vulnerable to military occupation.
