Israeli warplanes opened heavy fire early on Sunday morning at residential houses in the southern Gaza Strip town of Kheza’a.

No causalities were reported.

Residents expressed fears of broader Israeli attacks in light of ongoing air strikes on different parts of the coastal region over the past 10 days.

Israeli air strikes on Saturday killed 7 Palestinians including an 11-year-old boy and injured at least 25 others, bringing the death toll to 48, and the number of injured to almost 180.

Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance factions continued overnight and early on Sunday morning homemade shells fire into southern Israeli areas, with no causalities reported.
