Army shells Beit Hanoun, elderly man injured

Palestinian medical sources in Beit Hanoun, located in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, reported on Monday night that an elderly man was wounded after the Israeli army fired shells at houses and workshops..

The sources stated that resident Ziad Abu Harbeed, 53, was injured when one of the shells hit his home in the Al Na’aima area, in Beit Hanoun.

Abu Harbeed received moderate wounds to his right shoulder, and was hospitalized after the attack.

Also on Monday night, the Israeli military shelled a carpentry workshop in the Al Boreij refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that soldiers fired at least one missile at the workshop causing excessive damage. No injuries were reported.

In a separate attack, soldiers also shelled a blacksmith’s workshop in Gaza City. Again, no injuries were reported.
