Eyewitnesses reported that after storming the eastern side of Tulkarem late on Thursday late night, soldiers attacked and searched scores of homes, forced families to leave, firing sound bombs and damaging houses.

In the early hours of Friday morning, clashes erupted between stone-throwing children and the invading troops. Medical sources stated that the soldiers fired live rounds and rubber bullets at the boys, injuring three.

The Israeli army stated that the operation aimed to apprehend so-called “Wanted Palestinians”. Local sources in the city reported that the army left after capturing no one.
