Witnesses said the attack, which took place near the border fence with Israeli in Beit Hanoun city, caused the injury of the car’s passengers and that medics were unable to reach the wounded.

Nevertheless, the aL-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad’s armed wing, faxed a statement to reporters, denying any causalities among its fighters and claimed the Israeli warplane hit the car after its fighters fired a homemade shell into south of Israel.

The statement confirmed that the aL-Quds Brigades’ car, was hit with the Israeli missile as the fighters managed to survive unharmed.

Sunday’s attack came just hours ahead of an Israeli cabinet meeting to discuss continued rocket fire attacks into nearby Israeli communities.
