Armed leftist group claims responsibility for firing homemade shells at a military post east of Gaza Tuesday April 24, 2007 22:29 by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies
 Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the leftist Popular Front For the Liberation of Palestine, issued on Tuesday evening a press release claiming responsibility for firing homemade shells at Nahal-Oz settlement east of the Gaza Strip and at a landing zone for military helicopters.
The group stated that this attack comes as a natural response to the Israeli threats to reinvade the Gaza Strip, and added that it will continue its resistance to the Israeli occupation and to any military attacks. The group added that Israel is continuing its policy of assassinations and invasions into the occupied Palestinian territories, and that its fighters will remain steadfast until they achieve the Palestinian national aspirations and rights of liberation and independence.
